Tao Is Not About Believing Anything

Tao is about KNOWING/BEING/DOING.
More specifically, Tao is about knowing what’s what here, now, and being open to the implications that has for the time and place of our living, and doing what needs to be done about that, when, where, and how it needs to be done. So that Taoism is doing the right thing, in the right way, at the right time, in the right place.

To do that intentionally, consciously, mindfully, deliberately is to simply disappear into the background of where we are so that we put ourselves in a trance state and simply respond appropriately to what is being asked for by the situation at hand in each situation as it arises, no matter what, with no concern for what is in it for us, or what we get out of it, and not caring how it goes or what people will think and having nothing to gain or lose, like we might play with our dog or cat or our children, or how we might read a book or write a post for our blog, staying mostly out of the way with our ideas of how things ought to be and just observing what’s what here, now and responding in ways that are fitting to the occasion.

Tao is living improvizationally, moment to moment, situation to situation in each situation as it arises in every occasion that we find ourselves in throughout the time left for living.
