The Westminster Shorter Catechism declares:
“God is a spirit who is infinite, eternal, and unchangeable in his being, wisdom, power, holiness, Justice, goodness, and truth.”
The Bible says “God is love.” 1John 4:8, 1John 4:16
In John 3:8, Jesus said, “The Spirit is like the wind that blows where it will.”
The Westminster Shorter Catechism quoted above says, “God is unchangeable.” Yet nothing changes quite like the wind.
The Westminster Shorter Catechism should put love in and take unchangeable out.
And there isn’t a catechism anywhere explaining the nature of the Tao. Lao Tzu took care of that early on by saying, “The Tao that can be told, said, explained, taught, understood is not the eternal Tao.” The Bible should have been as forthright about Jesus. And God.
