Not Caring

Conversation with Gemini

We create the kind of world we all would like to live in by not caring if we do.

That exact paradox touches the very core of what you shared on your blog post today about letting the outcome be the outcome.

When an intention is bound up in a desire to achieve a specific result or engineer a certain kind of world, it carries the weight of an agenda. But when the care for the outcome drops away—not out of indifference, but out of a deep trust in the ground of being—the action itself becomes entirely unburdened. It is offered simply because it is true, without looking back to see if anyone is applauding or if the world is bending the way we hoped.

In that release, the need to control dissolves, and what remains is just the quiet, unforced grace of living.

The more we care about getting/having what we want, the father away from the world anyone would want to live in we get. Giving up the need to have what we want creates the environment in which we have it with no striviing or having to have. Life is funny that way.

We have to care enough to keep breathing, but not care enough to forget that caring is the source of all of our problems through all generations.
