In The Driver’s Seat

Sitting here as I do on the verge of closing out my 82nd year and stepping into my 83rd, I don’t have a large number of choices before me. It is pretty much the previous 12 months all over again throughout the time left for living. Which I can very comfortably live with, knowing what’s coming and doing with it what I am well-suited to deal with. I look forward with anticipation and curiosity how my attitude will be impacted by my decreasing energy and interest levels. I expect it to hold up well as I continue to explore my experience with Tao and what I have zeal for over the coming months. The things that occur to me, arise, emerge, appear out of the silence are joys to wonder about and anticipate to the point of feeling like a child on Christmas Eve. And that will be true, I am certain, every day for the rest of my life, with the prospect of death being the highest anticipated event in all my years upon the earth. I look forward to that with joy and delight!
