Where the Line Lies

When Jesus, in the Garden of Gethsemane, prayed, “But not my will but thine be done,” he recognized a conflict of will and desire at work in that situation. And it is essential that we know where that line lies within ourselves. What is “of us,” and what is “of God, or “of the Tao,” in that the numinous reality that is God is also Tao, and it is Not-Us.

And, it is our place to learn/know to be aligned with God-Tao in doing the Right Thing in the Right Way, at the Right Time, and in the Right Place. This formula has been recognized as being aligned with, at-one with, in synch with The Tao from about 500 BCE to here, now.

Where do we stop and God/Tao start? We know what is Of Us. What is Not Of Us? Our place is to learn to recognize that distinction, that truth, within ourselves, and to know when we have stepped over, or erased, the line, and started doing things Our Way no matter what.
