An Excerpt from my eBook on Kindle, “Jesus and the Tao”

We trust ourselves to our intuition,
to the drift of our spirit within
to know more than we do
regarding what’s what
and what needs to be done about it
here, now in the time an place of our living.

This is the choice for mindful awareness
and self-transparency
to the point where we become
“transparent to transcendence”
(Joseph Campbell’s term)
and know the wonder of our own
hidden depths revealing a different kind of
“Divinely superfluous beauty”
(Robinson Jeffers’ term)
and know the wonder of our own
hidden depths revealing a different kind of
“Divinely superfulous beauty”
winking at us from a psyche packed
with powers and abilities
we do not begin to comprehend.

What this means is that we live to beome
“transparent to ourselves!”

Being transparent to ourselves means
being consciously aware of Psyche and Intuition
and Tao in relation to ourselves,
so that we consist of our conscious
and our unconscious.
And becoming conscious of our unconscious
is one of the most interesting
and intriguing experiences of exstence.
It means beoming aware of Psyche, Intuition and Tao
which is where the real fun begins.

As we get to know/experience Psyche,
we do so by being aware of our Intuition,
which we might think of as the interface between
ourselves and Psyche (and Tao).
Psyche does not exist within us as an aspect
of our brain or our body,
but is the spiritual atmosphere surrounding,
embracing, enfolding us (and all living things),
whithin which we live, and move and have our being,
as physical beings having a spiritual experience.

We are capable of knowing what we know
(Which I take to be unique to higher life forms).
This is the awareness of becoming aware.
And our Intuition is the process through which
we become aware of being aware.
We can be aware of being within
the environment of Psyche
and alert to the wonders and joy
of that aspect of being human,
which is one of the significant gifts of being human.

We can expand our awareness, and hence,
our sense of our Intuition and of Psyche,
by watching all of the Jon Kabat-Zinn
YouTube Videos (The shortest ones first),
on Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction
though he will not speak of Intuition or Psyche.

These videos will help us become
students of the here, now.
There is much to be learned
by learning to be present
with what is present with us.

Being present with what is present with us
is a way of learning to see/know/be aware of
what’s what, what’s happening, what is called for
and what needs to be done about it
in allowing the impulse of our nature
to lead the way in responding to the moment
by doing the right thing,
in the right place
at the right time
in the right way–
which is the Way of the Tao
through time and space.
