The Way of Wild Things

Excerpts from my book “The Way of Wild Thngs”

The way of wild things is the way of knowing, not what time it is, but what it is time for. Intuitive knowing shapes, forms, organizes, guides, directs and commands, rules, the natural world. It has long been held by indigenous peoples worldwide that the visible, physical world is upheld and protected by the invisible, spiritual world of Tao, Psyche and Intuition.

The idea of “Pure Consciousness,” and “Independent” or “Spontaneous Arising,” from a Buddhist perspective, and the idea of “intuitive knowing,” are virtually interchangeable. What we know with no idea of knowing how we know is the ground and source of our being and doing. Babies know what to do with a nipple and just hatched ducklings know how to deal with water. And it flows from there.

Intuition is the force that rules nature. It is the Force Yoda, Obi-wan Kenobi and Luke Skywalker depended upon in Star wars, and it is all that humankind had to work with through thousands of years of evolution before logic, reason, intellect and civilization developed and invented money and war.

Now, we are at the point of re-learning, remembering the way of wild things and finding our way back to the natural, inner world of intuitive knowing and guidance, thereby restoring our balance and harmony by establishing our relationship with emptiness, stillness and silence (One thing, not three) and creating an affinity with the source of life and being–Tao, Psyche, Intuition–in trusting ourselves to know what’s what and what is called for here, now by “Peacefully abiding here, now” and doing what needs to be done when, where and how it needs to be done in each situation that arises–not for our wealth, power and profit, but for our own guidance, direction and well-being and that of all concerned as circumstance begat circumstances and life goes on.
