Lao Tzu said, in the Tao Te Ching, “The Tao that can be said/told/explained/expounded is not the eternal Tao. This means the Tao can be experienced but it cannot be taught. It cannot be expressed, only experienced. And the experience of the Tao is completely up to each individual on her or his own.

Which is the same thing as saying “The Christ cannot be explained, taught, told, only experienced by each person becoming the Christ herself, himself, here, now. Believing in Jesus was put down by the Apostle James (in James 2:19) with “Even the demons believe, and tremble.” He was saying, “There is nothing to believing! There is only BEING! Anybody can believe in Christ! Everybody has to BE the Christ!”

We experience the Christ by BEING the Christ and we experience the Tao by BEING one with the Tao! And no one can do this for us. Each of us have to do it for herself, himself. Individually. One at a time. Revivals that “save” thousands of people waste everyone’s time and effort. Everybody has to become the Christ in ways that are unique to them.

Of course, no one is prepared to do this, having been lectured to, preached to, and told to do what, when, where, and how all their life long, but that is good in that everyone is in this together and no one has a head start. And I’ve been writing stuff that is applicable here all my life (I was a minister for 40.5 years). Just do an internet search for Jim Dollar and start reading.
