I use the term “The Silence” to encompass all three essential aspects of the Silence.
What occurs to us there? Where does it come from? What does it ask of us? Require? How well do we comply? What does it Gift us with? How do we express, exhibit, gratitude, appreciation? How differently do we live in conjunction with the Silence, as one with it, than we live disconnected from it?
My experience is that with the Silence at the center of my life, I live at one with life itself, with no thought on what’s in it for me, or how I am benefiting, profiting from my association with the Silence. Or what’s it about, or where it is going. It doesn’t matter. Being at one with the Silence and with what emerges from it is IT. Is All There Is to have, or want, or need. I call it being one with the Tao. Which is also being one with Psyche and with Intuition. And what I do with that is what is called for in each situation as it arises, with nothing to show for it beyond the Buddha’s “Peaceful Abiding, Here, Now.” What is more than that to ask, or seek, or desire?
Be still. Be quiet Be.
