Everyone wakes up in their own time, in their own way. Being religious without religion is about waking up in our own time, in our own way.

The Buddha recognized 500 years BCE that enlightenment comes down to “Peaceful abiding, here, now.” And he told people, “Do not listen to ME! Listen to YOU!”

Jesus said, “Why don’t you judge for yourselves what is right?” And, “You have eyes to see! Open them! You have ears to hear! Listen!”

Lao Tzu said, in the Tao Te Ching between the 6th and 4th century BCE, “The Tao that can be said (told, explained, taught) is not the eternal Tao.”

We have to wake up in our own time, in our own way, and trust that to happen in its own time, in its own way.
