Tao, Psyche, Intuition–Heart, Soul and Life

We are born with what we need to find what we need to do what we need to do with our particular mixture of original nature, innate interests, inherent intuition, intrinsic imagination, and inborn sense of what is “us” and what is “not us.”

We sit with those natural gifts, waiting for “the mud to settle and the water to clear” (An ancient Chinese metaphor for finding the way of the Tao”), and follow our natural impulse toward something or away from something in every situation where we don’t know what to do, or what to want and what to not want.

We also consult our dreams and the flow of our life toward “this” and away from “that,” to discern the drift of our heart and soul and the circumstances at work in the time and place of our living. To catch a sense of our current direction and the way our cooperation may be being called for in the here, now, and toward what end.

This is called “finding our way along the way.”
