Everyone would be better off if everyone thought of them as being a high functioning member of the Autism spectrum. Giving everyone the benefit of the doubt would transform social and cultural interchange. Going with grace first and not condemnation or dismissal, disinterest and doubt, etc. would radically alter/improve relationships and make being together a much better place to be.
Why write anyone off as not worthy of our time and attention? Why not speak kindly, be generous and compassionate, from the start? Across the board? Around the circle? Throughout our life?
