We make up meaning to suit ourselves–like building sandcastles at the beach. Which is a very meaningful and time consuming process only for the tide to wash away. That is life. The ocean is the cosmos, taking all our lives away. And we take it all so seriously, but the supporting evidence of its value is non-existent from the long view, and we all can be seen as children on the beach devoted to building sand castles, calling what we are doing “Our life,” and taking it all so seriously.
