Being alive is about enjoying our life. Doing what we love to do. Loving being who we are, where we are, when we are, how we are. And that is a mere matter of attitude, perspective, perception, point of view. Not a matter of circumstances but a matter of the way we interpret circumstances. The way we embrace circumstances. The meaning we make of circumstances. What we say about circumstances. How we rise to meet what rises to meet us.

Joseph Campbell said, “It took the Cyclops to bring out the hero in Ulysses.” And so it is with all of us everywhere all of the time.
