Right action arises in the moment it is called for. Without planning, without staging, without rehearsal. The baby spits up, the mother wipes away.

This is intuition in action. We are built for living intuitively. We prepare to live intuitively through time spend in emptiness, stillness, silence as a way of returning to the source of sensing who we are and knowing what’s what, and how our original nature is equipped to meet what is called for in each situation as it arises, in conjunction with our innate virtues (The things we do best and enjoy doing most), our inherent intuition and our intrinsic imagination, equipping us to successfully meet a wide variety of conditions and circumstances on our way along the way.

We prepare for any life situation by perceiving–seeing, hearing, knowing–what’s what, what’s happening, what is called for without thinking or planning, but mutually arising here, now in the momeent of need. As Jesus did with the woman taken in adultery, with the man asking, “Who is my neighbor?”

Seeing and hearing require a sense of detatchment where we can be present in the moment and open to what is happening there without having anything at stake and nothing riding on a particular outcome, so that we are aware of what is going on without being engaged by anything there.

Being comfortable with emptiness, stillness and silence allows us to be grounded and at peace, with nothing to gain and nothing to lose, and having no expectations and no opinions about anything, anywhere–what I think Jesus may have meant when he said, “Pray without ceasing.” And, “The Spirit is like the wind that blows where it will.”

This is the state of alert readiness that positions us to be sensitive to and aware of our situation and of our intuition at work in our life, and are available for intuitive urgencies to arise, appear, emerge, calling us into the field of action in the service of what is needed, when, where, and how it is needed. So that we arise and do our work and then drop back into the emptiness, stillness and silence where we wait and watch as those who are open to the movement of life and being here, now, and doing what is called for with the gifts at our disposal in the service of our intuition all our life long.
