The more equipment you have, the fewer pictures you take.

Do not think photography has anything to do with a lot of camera stuff. Every cellphone in the world has a better camera than Ansel Adams ever had. The Second Basic Rule of Photography is : Be where the picture is when the picture is there. Time and place is everything NOT the camera! Get yourself where the scene is and get to work. That is all there is to it. If you take enough photographs in the right location you will have some wall-worthy photos every time you troll the scenes looking for images. And the more often you go, the better your pictures will get.
