Don’t Believe! KNOW!

I believe in not believing in anything. I believe in knowing. Belief is in doctrine, dogma, someone else’s authority. Belief is second-hand knowing. Second-hand knowing is lazy reliance on someone else to know what we need to know/do. The Buddha said it best: “Do not Listen to Me! Listen to YOU!” Jesus came along 500 or so years later and said the same thing: “Why don’t you decide for yourselves what is right?” Why don’t we? Why don’t we simply know what we know and trust it to be so until our experience invalidates our knowing and invites us to change our mind and know something else?
