Preferences

I am driven, directed, defined by my preferences. Aren’t we all? Our preferences take us to the heart of the matter–the heart of the matter of who we are and what we are about. We are about the service of our preferences. We exist to serve, to do, what we know is ours to do, when, where and how it needs to be done, which is the way we prefer to do it.

Our preferences are who we are. Settling into a lifetime of service to our preferences is swearing allegiance to ourselves and our way of doing things and getting things done. Being true to ourselves is being true to our preferences and our preferred way of doing things and getting things done.

What guides our boat on its path through the sea are our preferences for what is ours to do and the ways we have of getting things done. We know who we are and who we are not, what is ours to do and what is ours to leave undone. And no one knows those things like we do, or has any business thinking they know our business better than we do. And it is our place to do it (to do us) the way we would do it/us, and let that be that all the way.
