Jesus and I both recommend seeing what there is to see and hearing what there is to hear in order to know what there is to know and do what needs to be done about it, where, when and how it needs to be done, in each situation as it arises, no matter what, throughout the time left for living. “No matter what” means regardless of what we stand to gain from it ourselves. We are to do it for the joy of doing it and the satisfaction of having done it as our gift to the time and place of our living. As a blessing and a grace upon all who share life with us for as long as we are able. Because that is who we are.
