We come to know by saying. Articulation carries us into the next thing that needs to be said. We write, draw, sing, talk out loud, enter into conversation with someone who can help us expand and enlarge our own thinking-saying-knowing. This is an aspect of the concept of the path opening before us as we walk. Of our knowing what we are saying when we hear ourselves speaking. In this way, we are the source of our own revelation.
Articulation is the Philosopher’s Stone, opening the door to insight, realization, comprehension, understanding: to knowing, being, and doing. Everything flows from and depends upon articulation. William Blake observed, “Without contraries there is no progression.” Articulation creates these contraries and then responds to what it has brought forth—elaborating, expanding, enlarging, forming opposite and intriguing internal points of view. We say “This,” and it has to be expanded, explained, deepened, because “This” isn’t complete and needs to include “that” as well. Before we know it, we have spun forth an entire philosophy of life by using the Philosopher’s Stone and talking our way into realizations we never would have reached without articulation.
And in so doing, we discover/realize/know that ideas come from somewhere. Where? The door opens to Tao, Psyche, Intuition/Ourselves. There is more to each of us than meets the eye. “We” are the Tao, Psyche, Intuition, and Us. Our life is where we come to life as a whole—one with ourselves in the experience of Life Being Lived By Life: Life being alive and knowing it is alive. Life is living itself in and through us and our realization of “I” and “Not I,” our waking up to and knowing “Who I Am and What Is Mine To Do!” This comes by way of Articulation, Realization, Knowing, Doing, Being—being aware of what’s what and what is called for in each situation as it arises all our life long. And it becomes really interesting when we know that “we” are Tao, Psyche, Intuition, and Us. And the game is afoot!
