The Practice is sitting, lying, walking, running, etc. in a quiet area free of noisy intrusions, following the Buddha’s recommentation of “Peaceful abiding, here, now.”
The ideal is twenty or more minutes four times a week or more often. Freeing yourself for emptiness, stillness and silence. Freeing yourself from noise, complexity, complication, and observing without engagement what emerges from the quietude. Spend your time quietly observing your inner landscape immune to the impact of what arises and disappears. Just observing, just watching, just knowing, just listening. What goes on within? Be curious without being invested.
Observe yourself and your inner world throughout the weeks. Attending, watching seeing. What’s what. What goes, what comes, what returns time after time? What themes play out on your inner stage? Get to know your inner world. See what you become aware of over time. See how you move in response. See what that shows you about Tao, Psyche, Intuition and You. This is your practice.
