The way to the experience of Tao, Psyche, Intuition is the way of not trying, and simply trusting. Tao, Psyche and Intuition are ways of knowing–they are the essence of knowing, essential knowing, the foundation of knowing. Tao is the flow of knowing, Psyche is the mode of knowing and Intuition is the realization of knowing.
Together, they direct our action and guide our living through the circumstances of our life. When we try to use them to impose our will/desire upon our life it all goes to hell. We are here to cooperate with life–to know what is called for in each situation as it arises and do it when, where and how it needs to be done. This is the Tao at work in our life. When we are one with the Tao, we align ourselves with the flow of life and do what needs to be done naturally, smoothly, easily. When we try to force our way we create disturbance in the flow and things go awry.
If we look around, we can see how far things are from being one with the Tao. And, for things to be as they need to be, we have to give up our ideas of how things ought to be, of how we want things to be, and make our peace with the way things need to be. Tao, Psyche and Intuition wait for our cooperation. The more we cooperate, the more aware of Tao, Psyche, Intuiton we become–but we have to be compliant, willing assistants in the work to transform what’s what into what it needs to be. And that means we have to give up having our way in the service of what needs to be done about how things are for the sake of how things need to be. This is the way of nature, the way of the natural world. The will of natural things gives way to the way things are and works with what it is given to make things more like they need to be than they are.
Life (And this would be Psyche at work in the world, in the universe, in the cosmos, in the sphere of Matter, of Stuff, of Physical Reality). Life meets physical reality and something has to give. Life has to be fluid (Tao) and gracious, and accommodating in the service of doing what needs to be done about the way things are in order for things to be as good, comfortable, desireable as they can be given the circumstances of here, now. Life lives to find out what it can get by with in the here, now of its time and place.
And life gives itself directions by way of Intuition in the service of what needs to happen here, now. So that flowers turn toward the sun and bees find the flowers and pollenate other flowers and make honey, and Intuition has gotten life where it is today. Tao, Psyche, Intuition constitute the Way of Things throughout the Cosmos.
And we come along, imposing our will on things in the service of what we want. Wanting is the bane of life and the essence of life. Where would life be without wanting? And by wanting, life eats life. Making everything a compromise, a tradeoff, with every living thing giving up this to get that. And here we are.
